new sunday school series begins today!
Marks of a healthy church video series & discussion

The church wasn’t our idea—it was His. Jesus established the church as the natural arena for our spiritual growth, and our health depends on it. In this series, Dr. Mark Dever and Dr. Jonathan Leeman survey the marks of a healthy church, where we are called to display God’s glorious character in unity, holiness, and love. We can’t do it alone.
Mission illinois offering (week of prayer September 17-24)

announcements

Overall purpose of prayer and fasting: increasing our daily dependance upon God.
Ways to get involved:
1) sign up so that we know who is participating so that we can be in prayer and fasting together for the month of September
2) commit in your heart how you might fast in a way that increases your daily dependance upon God through prayer and His Word, The Bible. Also, prayerfully consider how you can implement a daily routine for you to increase your use of prayer and Bible study
3) join a weekly prayer group
4) participate in the Sunday night prayer/worship nights. These will be more intimate and freely structured evenings, and each Sunday will feature a special devotional/teaching from Scripture about prayer and fasting.
